I have a popping noise in only one of the speakers in my truck. It's sounds like an electrical interference. (We have the same sound coming from a baby monitor in the house). It happens intermitently when playing a cd or just the radio. When it happens, I can pause the cd (if I'm listening to a cd) and it continues to pop and buzz. I put in another speaker and it still happens. Checked the speaker wires and reconnected them. The head unit is a Pioneer. Any suggestions?????
Either a bad channel on the HU (fairly rare), or your wiring to the speaker is frayed and grounding out (fairly common).
If you connect the speaker to the HU with 2 feet of wire, does it still happen?

Matt, I connected the speaker to new wires and it still buzzes and pops. I can't pinpoint any specific time it happens. Turning or bumps and the like aren't what cause it. Funny thing is that when it happens the music still comes thru also. Can it be anything besides the head unit?
