I am going to upgrade my system and redue all the stock speakers but I don't have a huge budget I already have 2 10' subs that pound but I want clear sounding speakers with good punch. What should I go with pioneer or sony? Also do you have a suggestion for tweeters I have a neon so I already have a spot to put them. Thanks

Stay away from Sony. Pioneer is good but Infinity are better!

My current setup is based around Pioneer components. If you have the money there are much better alternatives, however take Michael's advice and steer clear of Sony car audio.

Even at that budget, you can get into the Focal Access or Infinity Reference line and have much better equipment.

I need some 5 1/4 speakers and where I live Sony and Pioneer are the best I can get my hands on cheap. So should I get the 3-Way 35W RMS Pioneer or 3-Way 50W RMS Sony. For the back I want Pioneer 6x9's for sure, but I don't know if 35W RMS is enough. I'm going to be running it off of my deck, which I don't have yet.

Most head units claim a lot more power than they deliver. Even the ones that claim 200w/ch should be safe with the Pioneers.

No HU delivers more than 25W/channel unless they have a separate power lead (which I've never seen).
