I have the Dish Network 921 receiver and hdtv projector. I have read and understand now that my locals, even when they 'say' they are in HD, are truly not, unless I get an HD over-the-air antenna. My question is, if I do get the antenna, will i still be able to use my on screen guide and dvr to record programs, or will I have to set up timers that are based on time and not program names. In other words, do I have to say record from 8:30 to 9:00 instead of record the "simpsons?"
Please anyone!!! I have a Fortec and am set at 110 . I tried a power scan already! I want to know if there is any way I can get CNN or the Fox news channel? Am missing the news!

Chris, DN does not have agreement to broadcast your local HD. However, the 921 is able to work with a HD antenna (I am surprise that DN did not install one for you for free) and you can display and record the local HD programs.
