nah not at all. passive radiators aren't that common.
mostly I see them used on cheap home speakers like theater research and such where they use a 15" passive radiator to look like a big speaker.
anyway, here ya go:

I own a 90' crx and i use 2 custon built 15" PR's in a 3.5cu/ft box which houses a RF Power HX2 15". I decided to go with PR's for 2 reasons 1)To save space 2)The ease of changing the tuning frequency. I competed in a local db drag event yesterday and did 143.8db. The PR's are tuned to 52hz with all the weight taken of. The simplest way to tune PR's is to just add or take off weight until you get it right. I built my PR's with a bolt through the center so I can easilly change the weights. The only downside to uasing PR's is the cost.
