Can anyone help? I've just bought a Merc E320 estates X reg. The radio didn't work. I contacted Mercedes and they gave me there code, this didn't work. The radio must have been changed. The s/no of the radio is AL291010680423. Can anyone tell me how to get the code?

The radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

First remove the radio from the dashboard.

Then post the radio make+model plus all the letters+numbers on any labels, barcodes or stamped in the metal casing.

This information can then be used to see if a code can be calculated

Thanks for your response. However I understand the serial is not required for Mercedes Benz cars. Just the VIN

Yes.....if you quote the VIN to your Merc Dealer he can look up a code on the Mercedes Database ......but it will normally involve paying a fee and may not be the correct code if the radio has been changed..( This Merc database is not commercially available as computer software )

If you want to see if we can provide a code for free on this forum then you are going to have to quote the details on the radio so that the code can be calculated. (providing there is an available calculator) . .

The choice is yours !
