New member Username: AirjaoPost Number: 1 Registered: Jul-04 | I own a 97 Corolla and my girlfriend recently gifted me a new pair of 6x9 speakers and a cd reciever (both pioneer) to replace my factory system. My rear speakers (dual cones only) still sound decent on normal volume, though the bass starts to crackle when it's "cranked" up, if I may use the term. But these factory speakers are round ones, so I can't really just replace them with the 6x9's, either I keep them on to work with the 6x9's or just don't use them anymore. So what is the right/best thing to do? Would it sound good having four speakers or is it going to sound chaotic? I really don't know much (obviously) so please some help would be nice. |

It says you need 4" spakers for the front door and 6.5" in the rears. If you could bring the 6"x9" back and trade them in for the proper sizes. Pioneer makes some very good decks so I would keep that but just change the speaker sizes. Both pioneer and infinity make real decent speakers for a great price and that's all you would need if you're running them off of the deck only. Once you get an amp to ampify the sound for the speakers you could consider getting better speakers. Aftermarket speakers generally sound much better than factory speakers.
