last week i had a purchase, i bought the yamaha a s-500 amplifier.
i realized that some of the little parts that appears at yamhah web site: http://www.yamaha.com/YECDealerMedia/ , isn't located at my a s-500 AMP: in my amp, there is only 2 little square black chips (beside the heatsink) on each side, istead 4 in each side that you can see at there photo in the web side. moreover also is missing more 2 white chips. - instead of 4, my amp. have 2.
please, if somone have the amp. at home, please have contact with me - i can also send the photo and you will see the electronic parts that it have in it,,,
my board looks exactly like this - http://news.hifi023.com/audio/20100930/103930.html
it written there - as 300 0 this is review in Japanese about a s-300

Hello. At 6.03.2011, I had a purchase, i bought the yamaha a s-500 amplifier. I have realized that some of the little parts that appears at yamhah web site, isn't located at my a s-500 AMP:
http://www.yamaha.com/YECDealerMedia/
In my amp, there is only 2 little square black chips (beside the heatsink) on each side, istead 4 in each side that you can see at there photo in the web side. Moreover, also is missing more 2 white chips. - instead of 4, my amp. have 2.
I can also send the photo and you will see the electronic parts that it have in it,,, if you give my any e mail address...
My board looks exactly like this - http://news.hifi023.com/audio/20100930/103930.html ("yamaha a s-300")
it is written there - a s-300 this is review in Japanese about the amplifier a s-300
but my amplifier that i own is A S-500 - and it's board and it's inner electronics parts are looked the same to the photo of the a s-300 - it should be looking like the picture that i mention above- the pictuere of Yamaha a s-500 web site... why is it?
I will be very appreciate that you can tell me if yours Yamaha a s-500 is looked exactly like the photo of the yamaha web site:
http://www.yamaha.com/YECDealerMedia/
in order to see the photo you should enter to the link below and enter to - "amps and tuners" and after this to - "A-S500 inside view"
You need to get a grip on reality. It doesn't matter what is or isn't in the chassis or what is or isn't in photo. Get over it and enjoy the d*mn music.
My question is, if this "a s-300" board and parts also located in the a s-500 amp. , if someone is owner of Yamaha a s-500 and have one at his home he can look in it and have comparison..
If you could do a comparison you probably could see the differences.
please see:
this it what should be in Yamaha a s-500 -

in order to see the photo you should enter to the link below and enter to - "amps and tuners" and after this to - "A-S500 inside view" and this is the photo that i photographed, this is my amp. - YAMAHA A S-500:

I was going to post something very similar when I first saw this post and thought better of it. Now that I see it in writing I have to say that I agree whole heartedly! Enjoy the amp or take it back. We are not willing join in your conspiracy theory.
Tell me if your 2 big capacitors in the back of the amplifier look like the 300 or the 500?
Check if your power output drain the same current as 2 parts by searching the part number, sometime they change 2 parts for a new part which is stronger.
The photo in the manual or on the website is being used as an example of a design they are using. It's not a photo of your amp model. But if you notice the layout is probably similar to the photo just scaled down. The photo is from there top end model using this design approach.
There is no fraud here. Just someone misunderstanding a manufactures advertising intent.
