Posting this because I started a thread awhile ago saying I was in the market for some decent ear plugs. can't stand to wear big headphones. my wife bought me some rf plugs off ebay for christmas for right around 50 bucks. i think best buy is asking a little over a hundred for them. using them with my zune hd 32gig. they are pretty big for in-ear buds. they came with 5 sets of rubber tips that can be switched depending on comfort. all of which i couldn't find any that fit very well. impossible to not stop messing with them to get them comfortable. the low end is pretty good for ear plugs. not nearly as good as they say. the sq is not good. i have a pair of ear buds i bought for 6 bucks that fit better and equals the sq and comes close on the low frequencies. overall not impressed with these. big, bulky, and don't sound much better than cheap pairs. 50 bucks is a rip and if someone pays best buy a 100+ for a pair, thats insane.i just ordered dd's earplugs. going to sell the rf's when the dd's come in.
Really excited about those. says they are adjustable depending on the amount of low frequency. they should be pretty nice. if they're anything like their subs. have an old school 9000 series 15" that I've used off and on for years now. still going strong. wife is going to sh$t when she finds out i sold the rf's though. might have to keep them just to keep the piece around the house.
I haven't heard the RF's, but I love my EarbuDDs. They are a little heavy compared to other 'cheap' ones, but as long as you put the right size tips on them they are comfortable.
You have to make sure you get them in the ear to to sound great. If they are just resting there, they will sound like crap.
Thats the problem with rf's. by the time you get them jammed in your ear and get a good seal, your ear already hurts. i've never had a problem with any other set just these. i may have been expecting to much. was just disappointed. was suprised how they reproduced the low notes. but thats all you hear.
