I am looking at buying a vehicle but it has a 6 disc cd changer. There are not dash kits made yet to swap this out with an aftermarket HU.

I want to install the system I already have which is 2 amps, components, a Fi BL 15", and a nice Pioneer Head unit.

My question is, is it possible to custom install my Head unit below the cd changer and be a completely seperate system from the stock system since I am using components???

Any ideas how I would do this?

that's one option, as is using a JL Audio Cleansweep or Audiocontrol LC6 or similar product to use the stock head unit with everything else

@glasswolf.
I have a high end pioneer HU, 5v, 3 rca outputs so i want to use this.

If i get my HU custom mounted below everything else, am I able to just power the HU on a wire to the fusebox and then just wire the rcas and everything like normal off the HU?? Im not worried about the radio on my pioneer.

Sorry, not too knowledgeable on something like this.

Yes you can do that. It's fairly common actually on cars with heavily integrated stock systems.

What vehicle are you buying...I know most vehicles on the market...Also does it have BOSE ...Infinity...or JBL already installed and does it have onstar? All these factors can play on hooking it up...I can make any radio look good and work perfect in any vehicle
