The ones I have got broken in transit, and the repair job I did on them doesn't look so pleasing to the eye. I've waiting though as I've been contemplating a speaker purchase. Thanks for the ideas.

The upright is 4" ABS pipe (filled with sand), then the top is a piece of MDF. All glued together with Bulldog Superglue. Each stand weighs about 50 lbs.

If thats held together with just the glue it must be incredible stuff. It's hard to tell from the photo but it looks like everything is painted black.

I use it to glue just about everything together. Yup, it's all spray painted black.
