New member Username: ChucknupPost Number: 1 Registered: Jul-10 | I have an old Acoustimass 3 system. One of the connections to the speaker out, seems to have a short, ergo I get only one channel. Should I attempt to have it repaired, or buy a new system? Right now, money is an issue. If I did need to have to purchase a new set, would this be the system that would be best for me? I have a Denon receiver AVR-900, and am running the sound from my Mac. (Itunes, movies,..) Thanks in advance! |

Nope, Bose is never the best solution. It's just an acceptable solution if the other person in the house is capable of volume that exceeds your stereo system and insists on little bitty tiney speakers that don't sound very good. . |

Where to start, How about considering anything good other then overhyped but crap Bose when compared to others? Recommendations shall come later or now below.... after budget, size of speaker is outlined by poster.. forget about your denon it has no digital inputs of any kind, how about this http://www.dakmart.com/p11034/SLED-DENON-AVR-1709-7.1-SURROUND-RECEIVER-AUTH-DLR-W-WT/product_info.html with these 5.1 speakers or somthing similiar from this site.. http://www.dakmart.com/Audio-Home-Audio-Home-Theater/c4_9_10/p11311/Boston-Acoustics-Horizon-Series-MCS100-MDNT-5.1-Speaker-System/product_info.html or these http://www.amazon.com/Energy-Take-Classic-System-Black/dp/B001202C44 not a small improvement over Bose..
