as i'm a new member! first of all can i say , Hello to everyone and hope all is well with you all,i would like your help with a code matter ,just bought the car but no code for the radio!!the radio is a clarion,s/n 002648,prod/n pu-9469a many thanks norm
the only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C 7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing. If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) inside your radio OR You could email restoredclassic@aol.com as it's an old clarion to see if they can help Mention this forum
many thanks for that, just having a good look and in pen is {84080395} could this be the code, if so as i have no manual how do i enter the numbers cheers norm
try entering the first digit by repeatedly pressing 1, the second by repeatedly pressing 2, the third with 3, fourth with 4, then hit some obscure button to enter the code (rather than the obvious '5' it was the 'tune up' button or something. i not 100% i have sent you email. i dont think {84080395} is to do with your code.
great news got in contact with restored and they came up trumps!!! so got sounds now ,but cannot get any upto date stations, any ideas, medium wave is fine ,but as i have no manual so cannot fined any fm or other,i do'nt want to take it out as it is the original,so com-on guys you came good last time, lets do it again and many thanks for your help norm
