Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 47 Registered: Aug-10 | I have 2 Fi Q 12's and im looking for a good amp. i heard hifonics was crap so forget that, i was considering an aq2200d but i wanna look around some more. I found a Crunch GP2500d for $200. is this any good? i also found an audiopipe 3000w amp for $325. i know nothing about either company so fill me in please. and i would love to hear any suggestions for a CLEAN sounding amp in the 2000-3000 watt range for under $400. new, used, or refurbished as long as it works perfectly i dont care. thanks! |

Gold Member Username: Loc_outSoCal Post Number: 3238 Registered: Feb-05 | I would buy a hifonics over a crunch anyday. "2000-3000 watt range for under $400" If you are looking for a solid amp. Get the mmats 3000.1. Small footprint wiht a ton of power. http://www.caraudio.com/forum/car-audio-classifieds/488628-mmats-2100-1-3000-1-r e-audio-xxx-15s-2009-orion-hcca-d5000.html |

Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 50 Registered: Aug-10 | well size doesnt really matter too much to me. my whole trunk is gunna be took up by this system anyway. and 200 watts is not worth 150 bucks. will the orion sound as good as the mmats? sound quality is really what im looking for |
Bronze Member Username: TuloudPost Number: 23 Registered: May-07 | x2 ON THE MMats.. Dont know much bout the orion.I haven't heard it personally, but if its anything like the 2500d its gonna be sweet. That aq would also be a good choice too. |
Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 51 Registered: Aug-10 | so what about the audiopipe? thats a 3000 watt amp for $325 but i know nothing about the company. |
Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 52 Registered: Aug-10 | and im still not completely sold on hifonics being junk. i know a few people who really like their brutus amps. i found a BXI2608D for $245 shipped, and a HFi2500D for $329 shipped. and theres still that orion 5000D. will someone please tell me the pros and cons on these amps? |
Silver Member Username: MystrePemberville, Ohio USA Post Number: 448 Registered: Sep-05 | aq2200 all the way. You get what you pay for most of the time. |
Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 53 Registered: Aug-10 | well im pretty sure new, the orion and the brutus are a lot more expensive than the aq2200d. |

There ain't no way a $200 amp will do 2500w real power... audiopipe is crap also. Orion are good quality amplifiers and $300 is a good deal... I would go with that or the AQ. |

Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 73 Registered: Aug-10 | how are they overrated? no way the d5000 only pushes 1250 watts. |
Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 11376 Registered: Jul-06 | orion d5000 claims 2500w at 1 ohm but that is not a CEA certified rating, so idk how true it is. |
Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 74 Registered: Aug-10 | well ive heard nothing but good things about the hcca amps |

Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 75 Registered: Aug-10 | well its rated at 2500 rms and from what ive heard, the hcca's are anything but overrated. but dont matter anyhow i decided to go with the mmats 3000.1 :D |
Platinum Member Username: Insearchofbass2 hifonics 2607s, 2dcSounds12xls SPL\idmax12SQ Post Number: 15320 Registered: Jun-04 | a rating of 5000 on an amp that puts out 2500 rms is over rated |
Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 76 Registered: Aug-10 | where is it rated at 5000? |
Platinum Member Username: Insearchofbass2 hifonics 2607s, 2dcSounds12xls SPL\idmax12SQ Post Number: 15322 Registered: Jun-04 | model d5000 suggesting 5000 watts |
Bronze Member Username: NevertoomuchbassVirginia Beach, VA Post Number: 77 Registered: Aug-10 | anyone with a brain would look at the rms ratings and see thats not the case. |
Platinum Member Username: Nd4spd18Philadelphia, PA Post Number: 11380 Registered: Jul-06 | Um, sean no offense but you kinda failed here... lol.. 5000 is just the model, that amp is rated 2500w at 1 ohm |
