I need some questions answered.. What is the differnce between a SVC(single) sub that produces 250 watts RMS power and a DVC(dual) sub that produces 500 watts TOTAL power?? I have noticed that the DVC 500 watt sub will produce 250 watts per coil, but is this greater than or equal to the SVC that has 250 watts RMS power?? Thanks!

A 'coil' is essentially an electromagnet inside the speaker.
Dual voice coils have two, single voice coils have one. When you have two, and each can handle 250 watts, that sub can handle 500 watts.
More power = more sound...but they are only part of the total system. One is not 'better' than the other, it all depends on what you need to do with it.
