Can anybody help, I have a Ford Focus and recently had the head unit changed by Ford under warrenty. However at first use of a copied CD it has got stuck. Ford will not accept that it was anything to do with them and want to charge a stupid amount to send the unit back. Any help on how to remove the stuck CD would be greatly appreciated.
Are you comfortable with removing the unit and taking it apart partially? You can find the motor that controls the CD mech eject functions and just spin the wheel on it until the CD ejects. And if it doesn't, then you'll be able to identify what's bad.
I personally think that's ridiculous that they won't replace the new head unit when it's obviously bad. Have you tried talking to someone higher up in the Ford service department?
