Over the last couple of month i have been collecting the "right" components to replace the speakers and amp in my 07 is350.
Picked up a pair of PPI 600.2, a PPI 404.2 and a Audiocontrol LC8i. I had been looking for a good deal on a set of Dynaudio 342 / 362. The only ones i ever see on eBay are being shipped from HK...so i kept looking.
Then tonight i have across a brand new set of Rainbow Profi Vanadium 3 ways! Figured i would give them a shot.
My question is: Is the PPI 404.2 enough power to really get the best sound from this front stage? Is it even the right amp for these speakers?
(also: I am still looking around for the right 10"s...so far i have been ready to pick up a few IDQv4 if i can find the right deal...any thoughts on those?)
Goal is 80% SQ / 20% SPL
Doubt any of these could be used but sitting in my garage from my last system: four Fosgate 301m two Fosgate 301s one Fosgate 301x two Orion 2500d
2x200@4 ohms bridged should do fine for the Valadiums. The only way you'll really do better is by going fully active with them, like I'm doing with my DynAudios. Good choise on the Rainbows, by the way.
