Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 650 Registered: Sep-09 | i think the main office was based in tucker or by gwinnett place mall. are you set on an RD amp? |
Silver Member Username: JemoneTucker, Georgia United States Post Number: 345 Registered: Jan-06 | not necessarily, i just think i want better quality than hifonics this time. |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 653 Registered: Sep-09 | sundown, AQ, some one else will chime in with something else but those are both great amps that will put out more then what they say they will. how many watts do you need? |
Silver Member Username: JemoneTucker, Georgia United States Post Number: 346 Registered: Jan-06 | I am probably going to require about a 2000 watt sub woofer amp. |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 654 Registered: Sep-09 | at 2 ohms or 1 ohm? |
Silver Member Username: JemoneTucker, Georgia United States Post Number: 348 Registered: Jan-06 | 1 ohm. I am finally going to buy a Fi btl. |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 655 Registered: Sep-09 | http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.php/products/discontinued/saz-2000d.html http://www.audioque.com/aq/?page_id=28 those would be my picks. |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 656 Registered: Sep-09 | or get in on the pre order for the saz-2500 http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/SAZ-2500D-Pre-Sale-OPEN-t38593.html it goes on tell July 4th i think. that would be a perfect match to give you just a little head room or to add some options on the BTL. |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 657 Registered: Sep-09 | also the pre-sale is still open and supposedly the amps are ahead of seclude so you would get it rather soon if you are willing to wait but you get a discount ^_^. |
Silver Member Username: JemoneTucker, Georgia United States Post Number: 349 Registered: Jan-06 | All of the options you suggested looked quite beastly. Thanx |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 658 Registered: Sep-09 | any time glad i could help, hope you have some good electrical. |
Gold Member Username: BonhamdTraverse City, MI Post Number: 2228 Registered: Nov-07 | also check out the cresendo 3KWP - 3K plus for $550 brand new, 2 year warranty |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 661 Registered: Sep-09 | also a good choice if you beef up your BTL for more power handling, you are going to need some good electrical for this set up on 3k watts tho. |
Silver Member Username: JemoneTucker, Georgia United States Post Number: 350 Registered: Jan-06 | That crescendo looks like ALOT of amp. I should have gotten a bigger alt.LOL Oh well, time to buy a battery bank. HEH hE he |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 663 Registered: Sep-09 | depending on how much your alt was or how much the upgrade is for your car after 2 or 3 battery's you are probably at the same cost, as far as i remember its better to keep your voltage up then big battery bank. i reserve the right to be wrong, some one else will chime in and tell you. but if you have ~200 amp alt cram in 2 or 3 battery's total and you should be good to go. don't forget to post a build log when you get every thing. |
Silver Member Username: JemoneTucker, Georgia United States Post Number: 351 Registered: Jan-06 | I have the big three done, I have a 220 amp alternator waiting for install. What type of battery setup would I need to run that sweet sweet Crescendo....mmmmmmm... crescendo... ahhhhhhh.LOl |
Silver Member Username: JemoneTucker, Georgia United States Post Number: 352 Registered: Jan-06 | You answered before i could ask! LOL |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 665 Registered: Sep-09 | hahahha, uhmm i would say that alt + batt under the hood and one in the back, biggest one you can fit under the hood and eather a matching one or a bigger one in the back and depending on your wire eather 1 or 2 runs of 1/0 ga for both pos and neg from the front battery will do you a lot better then your car as a ground the welds in your car are only ~ 4ga wire. whats your budget? |
Silver Member Username: Gcs8Atlanta, Ga Post Number: 666 Registered: Sep-09 | so like one run of http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KFX0BK-50 witch will handle 375 amps at 20' or two runs of http://www.vertexaudio.com/store/pc/Shok-Industries-Reference-CCA-1-0-Red-50-Spo ol-62p178.htm that will handle ~260 amps for the same run. |
