I was orginally to get dual Kicker comp 10's but everybody said they were crap. I don't need anything with thunderous bass but something clean and good but I need it to fit my budget. Here is a recommended setup I got: Sub: http://www.woofersetc.com/p3415/RWE302--MB-Quart-12"-1000-Watt-Reference-Se ries-Subwoofer.htm Box: http://176719.brightwebsite.com/store-products-31072-Ground-Shaker-ESQ112-12-Sin gle-Sealed-Standard-Square-Box_41351482.html Amp: http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/Product/fp/vpid/6635939/vpcsid/0 /SFV/30046 My budget is like $320 and thats including a stereo. Could I substitute that amp for this: http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-HFi-HFI100-4-800W-4-CHANNEL-AMPLIFIER-AMP-KIT-/3503 34316903?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item51918d7167 And any other recommendations? |

New member Username: JaygPost Number: 2 Registered: Jun-10 | Someone suggested that amp because they said if I wanted to add 4 comp speakers later it would power my whole system. Any good priced brands you would recommend. I'm trying to keep sub+box+amp around $260-$275 |

If you rush it and get whatever you can you're not going to be satisfied. If you're serious about wanting some decent car audio, its going to cost a little money. |

With this amp: http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-HFI100-2-400W-RMS-2-CHANNEL-AMPLIFIER-AMP-KIT-/3901 99056841?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item5ad9ad19c9 |

Silver Member Username: CwruckPost Number: 284 Registered: Feb-10 | the thing about 4 channel amps is that you cannot use them to power subs, and to power speakers at the same time, you could however use the front 2 channels to power speakers and use the rear channels and bridge them to power 1 subwoofer, but its more than likely not enough power and not very efficient. basically you get what you pay for. at least to an extent. there are many non mainstream companies that offer products that will outperform mainstream companies in quality performance, and best of all price your best bet if you can't stretch your budget is too learn about products, what is good and whats not and look on craigslist, every now and then people sell great stuff for cheap because they are hurting for money and its much easier for them to sell locally than deal with ebay |
Silver Member Username: CwruckPost Number: 285 Registered: Feb-10 | sorry i noticed you only wanted 1 sub and a 4 channel could work for that, like how i said above. but you would be better off buying 1 set of speakers, you only need 1.. power those with a 2 channel amp, and then use a subwoofer and power it with a class d amp, you will have more power for bass, with much better wiring options with the sub, and not kill your electrical. i have a great eclipse 2 channel amp i am looking to sell in the near future, it will blow those other amps out of the water performance wise and it would be cheaper as well |
