Trying not to spend anything over 150-200 and looking for something that provides about 600 RMS Should I get a two channel or mono amp? The subs are 4 OHM's 600 RMS, do mono amps work a lot better when there is only 2 or 1 OHM? I was looking at this amp - Alpine MRP-M500 http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-M500-MRP-M500-Amplifier-1-channel/dp/B0013TQ6FK Is there anything else more powerful that i can get for 150-200$? Thanks for the help. |

Those subs are really poor performance-wise, and aren't built very well either. In the long run I don't think you'll want to keep them. You could get a few different subs from ebay that would hit harder and be cheaper (like the Alpine Type R, Kicker, Infinity, even the cheaper/older JL subs will be MUCH better). |

I can always upgrade in the long run. I ended up going with the Pioneer GM-D8500M (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130GMD850M/Pioneer-GM-D8500M.html) It came to only 150$ with 10% bing cashback online |
