I'm looking at the Infinity kappa perfects 6.1. If I get those they will be powered by a Rockford Fosgate Punch 301s which will deliver:

75 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
150 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms

The perfects have a 3 ohm impedance. What would be the best way to wire them to the amp?

Also, I currently have some pioneer coaxials. Will I have to get rid of those or can I integrate them as part of my rear stage. They are practically new. If so, how would I be able to wire all the speakers since the coaxials have a different impedance from the Perfects? I believe the are 4 ohm.

Will I need to buy a more powerful amp or will the 301s be sufficient?

Thanks guys.

just wire them straight to the amp as normal.
you'll get 112.5 watts continuous (peak) @ 3 ohms.

I'd scrap the pioneers unless you have a 4 channel amp for them.
you *could* run them from head unit power if your head unit allows you to use both internal power and pre-outs at the same time, but most head units don't allow this from my experience. If you use the pre-outs, the internal amp is switched off.

read that page on rear fill then decide if it's something you want.

Thanks GlassWolf.

What are some component set recommendations other than the perfects? This is gonna be my first component install, I want it to sound nice. What do you think about the RE XXX components?
