Thanks for that.

Your dealer has access to the original factory database ...which is not commercially available.

You were lucky to get your code...and for for free.as well !

I ran your Serial Number through the available calculators and none came up with your working code 43166

Hello everyone. Just found this site and hope someone can help.I've just bought 2 Blau. rad. cass. players. Coupled each one up for bench trial prior to fitting, one comes up with "CANCHECK", the other one with "CHECK". Fiat instruction book with CANCHECK unit which came from a Fiat Dublo says this should go after a few seconds, left it for 10 mins..... still there. The other unit is out of a Fiat Punto so I assume it's the same problem for both units.
Details as follows:- CANCHECK unit, Blau. BPO37135316945, also 7 640 371 316. Code in book 5121.
CHECK unit,Blau. BP137424830158. 7 641 374 316 Code unknown. Help with this too???
Reading through this site I note the great success with decodes, hope someone can help me resolve my problems. It's a BIG, BIG ask and I much appreciate any help you can give.
I posted this entry earlier today 11/05/2010, and it came up on screen but has since vanished.

hi Bill
BP137424830158 = 6252
If you are trying to fit this radio to a different vehicle, then you may find yourself with the Error message of "CANCHECK". As well as having a conventional Radio Security Code number, this stereo is also electronically paired, or "Married" to the engine management system of the vehicle it came out of using very sophisticated CAN-BUS system technology.

When it is first powered up, it will communicate with the vehicle, and a message of "WAIT" will appear on the display whilst this process is in operation. If communication has been successfull, it will prompt for the Code number to be entered in the normal way.

However, if removed and refitted into a different vehicle other than the original one, it will not recognise the encrypted CANBUS identification of the new car, and will instead display an error message of "CANCHECK".

This Radio cannot therefore be transferred from one car to another, unless it has first been reset back into its original "Delivery Mode" with the CAN-BUS data memory reprogrammed for use with the new vehicle.

Hello Hay88. I had a sneaking suspicion that something like this might be the case. Sellers didn't mention anything so I've been caught napping.........twice. I suppose the re-programming is more expensive, indeed if available, than another radio as the host car is an old, 1992 Seat Ibiza built prior to modern "advance technology"
Many many thanks anyway, and if I have any future, similar, problems I'll know where to come. Cheers, Bill.
