My friend has a 98 Ford Ranger with a radio that doesn't work. I have an old factory radio from my 95 ford escort, that I thought I might be able to just pop in. Of course the wiring harneses are different, so my question is can I get some sort of an addaptor to do this? If so where might I look? Thanks!
Do you have the harness plug from the old radio? If so, best thing to do is to buy an aftermarket wiring adapter for the 98 Ford Ranger, and then wire up the 95 stereo harness to that using this guide: http://www.the12volt.com/
If you don't have the harness for the 95 radio (the plug literally should have been cut off), then it will not work unless you can get another harness somehow.
