I have stock 6x8's in my ford, if I replace them, would it be better to go with adapters for round speakers, or go with a 6x8 replacement, and if I do go with round, what size can I get and which is better?
Thanks in advance!

6.5" in front. separates preferably

just cut the opening slightly larger in the sheet metal under the door interior panel (tin snips will do the job) and make a plate with plywood or ABS plastic to hold the 6.5" and the tweeter in the factory spots.

Oh, and I should have asked this sooner, but would you leave the back speakers out, as I am going to run a FI sub in the back, and what brand would you recommend for the front. Moderate prices!
Thanks again

read this article on rear fill. I've massively rewritten it over the last week or two, and the views have changed. worth the quick read:
http://www.glasswolf.net/papers/rearfill.html

after reading that, you can deside on running rear fill, and how you want to do it if so. typically 8" midbass drivers make good rear fills.

for front stage, moderate price range.. hmm
Alpine Type R or Type X, Focal Polyglass, Infinity Kappa Perfect, maybe DLS or DynAudio's 2-way lower end products?
Any of those would be good choices. Diamond Audio is pretty good too.
