hey guys...i had a deal lined up for some diamond d363.5's but that fell through.

ive narrowed down my selection to the alpine line...between these two which would you choose? and why? (6.5" components)

given 80w rms
----- Alpine type r 110w rms ($140-150 shipped)
----- Alpine type x 75w rms ($190-210 shipped)

I understand type x should be better, especially with that kind of power...but is it worth the 50-60 dollar difference???

If you have 80 rms to feed the speakers, go with the one that holds the higher amount of power. That way there is no problem of over powering them.

you would be fine going with the type x components 5 watts will not hurt them and the type x's are better
