so i just got a sunfire. and im looking to put in a decent sound system between 1500-2000$ is my budget including everything but installation.. i want it to hit pretty hard so i dont mind paying more for an amp and sub. also rather have sq then spl
Can you give us more details here? Is there any equipment you're leaning towards? The best thing to do is to search the forums and see what is popular right now. Otherwise you're going to get a small sales pitch from each member of the board. If you could show us some equipment you're thinking of as a starting point, we can get a better idea of what you want.
One definite consensus is to stay away from any Sony car audio.
With that budget you could get a killer set up. Get you an upgraded HO alt, 2 good batteries for the trunk, all 1/0 wire through the car, 2 12" SSA Xcons, a Bassman3 (Dustin) built enclosure and a Sundown 3500D. Done deal. For the front stage, and you would need a killer one, someone else will have to shine some light onto. If you wanted to key it down a little, 2 Fi Qs would do awesome as well and need less power to be happy.
