And they dont sound totally terrible but i figure i prolly want and even need and upgrade.. I have bose just so ya know... but i have a pioneer head unit.. so i have the adapter.. I was wondering how i would rewire if i did get new speakers.. what speakers i should get.. if i should even get back deck speakers because you cant hear them at all when the bass hits, they just move with the sub.. I would prolly have a budget of around 200 - 350.. suggestions, advice, anything? |

Get a 2 channel amplifier to drive those speakers (this is vital to let them sound the way they should, and keep up with a fifteen.) run new speaker wires from amp to component crossover, and XO to speakers. get a distribution block and split power by the amps to feed them both from the same run off the battery. if you do want rear fill, get a 4 channel amp instead of a 2 channel, and get rear speakers, too. Here's some info on rear fill. make of it what you will. http://www.glasswolf.net/papers/rearfill.html |

I would Really like not to have to take it out.. but there's no way around that is there? oh and like the headunit i have at high volumes will have just a tad bit of static sometimes.. |

If you can do that without removing the radio, sure Otherwise, you need to disassemble the face of the center console and pull out the radio. Usually about a 5 minute job, really. |

I might be able to persuade him.. if i can what amp and speakers would you recommend? |
Platinum Member Username: GlasswolfColumbia, SC USA Post Number: 13156 Registered: Dec-03 | christ. not a good move. the foam acts as an insulator. the head unit will just accumulate heat like that. best you just buy a fit-kit for that car, and use that to mount the head unit. |
