Why cant direct tv be tested?

I don't see Globecast or telefonica in my list mind you my list could be out dated I dunno. |

N3 is used By Dn, Bev, Globecast and a few others Plymouth who is a very informed source for this forum gave you that answer in the first post. He also informed you about the encryption used by DTV. He also told you very correctly that N3 is used By Dn, Bev, globecast and a few others. Direct TV is not N3 encryption. They use a different encryption for the past 5 years or so. The main thrust for decryption from private efforts comes from the need of non-english speaking people of Northe America. dish has better International programming. so when DTV decryption was thwarted by new method about 5 years ago, the attention of the hackers went towards Nagravision where the version1 and then version2 were easy targets and got decrypted. Now a whole lot of receivers have been sold - all mainly because of the nagravision decryption. Add to it the fact that N3 decryption will also get you Bev and Gobecast, thenit becomes obvious that the major efforts are towards N3. As you can see from the post above, N3 is very widely used, not just by Dish Network as LK implied. Hence the efforts are directed towards N3 decription. |
