It used to be that it was a requirement only of one of the two majors (I forget whether it was DN or BEV). However, for the past several months both providers' HD broadcast require a 8SPK card if you are using a FTA HD receiver. when you buy a FTA HD receiver, you should check if it has this card or not. If not you buy one. They cost about $200, but I haven't checked the prices lately. |
