Has anyone used their str-de895 with 4 ohm speakers? How does it handle the load?
All rating in the manual are for 8 ohms

I had, until very recently, an 895. I cannot imagine it capable of running a 4 ohm load, my guess is the protect would come on. It just is not capable of putting out that kind of current.
