There are more than enough comments on this. Cant you make a decision on your own like most people. Maybe someone should hold your hand while you take the plunge.
Point to Galaxy 19 at 97W. http://www.lyngsat.com/galaxy19.html
You will get Arabic channels from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sharjah (Dubai), Qutar, Oman, Tunisia You will also get 3-4 Farsi channels, if you understand the language. I do not know about Egypt or Algeria, but it si probably there. This is all on absoplutely free FTA. You will need a 33-36" dish. Most of the recievers will work.
It is a bit different about French TV. I do not know if you get French channels from Europe on any of the North America targeted Sats. Most French TV programming comes form Canada on BEV. At present most of the IKS receivers (Sonysat, CNX Nano, and Kbox) are not getting Bev. This will change. To get the Arabic channels from DN on 118.8W, you will need one of these three IKS recievers, preferably Nano, and you will need to use a 33" dish with a special LNB. If you can afford it, (for permanence) use a 36" dish with a motor, and two LNBs - one for Galaxy 19 at 97 and others, and one for 118.8W which requires a special LNB. If Plymouth responds, he may want to negate some of the stuff I said, but don't get carried away by some of the less knowledgable, mouse happy school kids
listen to anybody, practically anyone other than her highness nalin nyda and you will have been told the truth. nalinda nyda has been proven to be a liar here and she cannot be trusted.
