Sup yalls I have a question, and was hoping you guys could help. Im on a pretty low budget, and Ive got basically 2 options for a sub... Ive got a Rockford punch 250.2 amp Puts out 405 watts at 4 ohms according to the birthsheet... I was wondering which sub would be better... a 10" Pioneer premier...Used, but in great shape. Its rated at 400 watts RMS, 800 watts max.. Single 4 ohm voice coil 86dB sensitivity. Or... An Audiobahn flame series 10"...Brand new Its rated at 450 watts RMS, and 900 watts max.. Single 4 ohm Voice coil and 92.3Db sensitivity... Based on the numbers and price...the Audiobahn seems to be the better choice... Im just asking for an opinion for one of those 2 subs, and not for your opinions on something else I should get... Thanks.
Im actually running the Pioneer currently, and Im somewhat pleased with it... The issue is, that I can make an even swap for the Audiobahn... It seemed to be in my favor... I actually went to a local Circuit City, and listened to a similar Sub to the Audiobahn and was quite pleased with the way it sounded... Plus, due to the fact that I wont be buying another amp, I figured that the jump in sensitivity (86 to 92.3 dB) would help with the lack in power... However...I was looking at the Elemental Designs 10" online the other day, and seeing as it only cost 80 bucks...I thought I could maybe swing for that.. any other 10" subs priced at 80 bucks or less would suffice... any suggestions?
Ok...So I fukked up and bought the Audiobahn anyhow... As I was testing it out, I smelled something burning, and decided it was time to ditch the bastad. I got my money back on it, thank God and just put in an order for an eD 11Kv2.
You know what gets me? Why the f*ck do people ask us for opinions on audiobahn if they are going to get the damn things anyway? People do you think Glass and Jonathan would WASTE their time posting a bunch of bullshit? I mean hell if your going to get the f*cked up audiobahn products then don't ask our f*cking opinions on them.
That was the first thread I posted in here, and I had no idea whether or not they were just biased against Audiobahn. Turns out they were not. Im still glad I bought the thing, because now I can tell everyone I know not to buy Audiobahn, because of PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, and not what "some guy" told me. I didnt lose a single cent on the thing, so I guess nothing ventured, nothing lost.
