Monday, February 01, 2010 - 15:38 GMT not to my knowledge... most companies have moved away from manufacturing speakers of that style for the following reasons: 1) better fidelity with smaller drivers 2) size 3) cost 4) appearence you can find very large floorstanding speakers that have outstanding fidelity, but it will cost you! The B&W 802D comes to mind. Last time I checked, it was $12,000. But, I do believe KLH also makes speakers that are of the type you are looking for.

Tuesday, February 02, 2010 - 00:08 GMT Thanks Gav. I've always wanted a pair of those for the basement. My wife would have a heart attack if I brought those home, though.

Tuesday, February 02, 2010 - 01:09 GMT Are the LaScalas huge or just real big? If they are in line with the Khorns I've seen, I couldn't imagine getting them down a flight of stairs, let alone back UP! In case of a trip / fall, the guy on the bottom would be crushed.

Tuesday, February 02, 2010 - 01:13 GMT I think the Khorns are actually bigger Leo, but they both weigh about the same. Having one fall on you would definitely ruin your day.
