Picked up a dbm2 mic (the ones that used to be on splmeter.com), did some testing today with my 15" apx in just over 5cf tuned 34-35hz w/70sq in port on my aq2200d in the ranger. Sub up on passanger side with port forward behind the drivers seat. With voltage dropping into the low 12's the best score I got was 143.0 in the passenger kick with windows down playing young jeezy- white girl. I think I did a 140.x sealed on teh windsheild sealed up. My cousins 15" HDC3 copper did a low 142.x in the kick windows down on my old LA storm x1000d in a 4.5cf box tuned 37hz w/ 60sq in port.
I think sean and scott said these were about .5db off on the high and 2db off on the lows compared to a TL. Does anyone know if these read higher or lower than a TL?
Either way when I build this box it was inteded to be a loud daily street beater. Once it breaks in and I get full power going to it I will try a more SPL oriented box. I'm thought I would have a little higher numbers than what I do now, but hopefully that will happen over time. For now it has a killer low end and sound descent too. I'll try and get some pics when I get home tonight.

high .5 in the mid 50's and 2 db low in the low 40's compared to the termlab
yeap testing this weekend. almost got the new box ready. i got about 2 hrs yet to finish the port then about 2 hrs to put the rear panel and resin it. for at least a testable box.
got most of it done tonight. it is testable now but to late now. i will test the box tuesday so i can 100 perc. finish it. all i gotta do is 1000grit sand it and then polish it. and yes this is a spl only box.
So I gained over 1db by turning my box and re aiming my port, but cant leave it that way cuz the sub will rub on my seat. Looks like I know what way my next box will be firing.
