i am getting a fi Q 15 with bp power, new box by bassman, and a SAZ-3000D. so stupid question time. would it be better to run it at 2 ohms at 1500 or 1 ohm at 1500 witch will draw less power, would 2 ohms sound better than 1 ohm? should i give it its own in line fuse? any thing special i should know? ect.
if you get dual 1 or 4 ohm vc you can wire it to 2 ohm.. If you had dual 2 ohm vc, you could wire it to1 ohm...but that would not be 1500 wrms.. I would be getting the full power of that amp.
----RMS power, 1 ohm mono 3000W x 1CH ----RMS power, 2 ohm mono 1600W x 1CH
----RMS power, 4 ohm mono 800W x 1CH
if u intend to get a 2nd Q later on then imo get a D4 version now which u will wire it to 2ohms but have the gain set lower than what it shud be just to be on the safe side
later on when u get a 2nd D4 sub wire both subs together to = 1ohm & same thing with keeping the gain than it shud be
OR u can simply lower the sub output level if ur head unit has that feature built in ...
