I have 2 15 inch kicker L7 subs running to a 5500 watt power acoustics amp. I also have 4 pioneer speakers running to a 1200 watt pioneer amp with a pioneer head unit.
The problem is when I crank the system up the speakers cut in and out but when the volume is down i have very little problems.
My installer said I need a new alternator and second battery because the system pulls to much power. I don't think this is right.
Sounds to me like your installer is on to something, if you are truley producing that many watts then you are more than likely pulling far more amps than a stock alternator is able to produce...just my 2 cents...
