Post Number: 7277 Registered: Nov-05 | there has not been a solid built car since the 70s.. what do you expect when you have 3000+lbs moving at a given speed hit an engineering aluminum can and plastic bottle? new cars are designed to fall apart.. although the cabin is designed not to.. they are crumble points to save lives... not cars and the new challenger was the worst car produced in the muscle car war between mopar/ford/chevy read the articles.. the new camaro and mustang walk all over the challenger in every aspect.. yes i would love to own the original challenger.. but never the new one and i'd run my jap car against that srt any day.. |

Bronze Member Username: 2000fordrangerLa Post Number: 42 Registered: Sep-09 | I do not agree Jack about the new Challenger FAILING compared to the mustang.....the new Mustang doesnt have 300 hp like they advertise....my dad had one...he got 280 after he put in a 388 gear and after the cold air kit......the Challenger has 400+ hp. I do agree that the old school cars will kick the crap outa any new ones. Also its more like 4000 lbs for the Challenger/Camaro/Mustang. We dont have many Camaros in Shreveport though so i havent gotten to check those out. You guys still dont like MOPAR because of the trannys? they've gotten better over the years and the old school hemi's beat almost any stock vehicle in the 60's 70's....the only thing that gave it a run for its money is the 427 ZL1 Camaro/Chevelle. |

Post Number: 7295 Registered: Nov-05 | ive yet to be beat by an srt4.. last one i raced was suppose to run 11.5s in a 1/4 and had a shot a nos to top off the turbo mods he soon blew the motor.. srt4 neons are not reliable.. they are cheap and make good power.. and then they break.. just like the dsms power/reliability .. goes to the foreign car makers.. its not like it used to be.. most foreign car makers are way more advanced than the ones in the states.. face the facts |
