Since ive always had cars I dont really know what to do with it lol. I dont want to take up the whole back seat of the truck but need to throw something back there. Any help on a box under the seats or something even just tips would be great thanks guys. |

He got a prefab box with 2 12s and it sucked. now he has a w7 in a custom box taking up space for 1 seat in the back. As for me my box might take up two seats. A stereo shop guy gave me a idea of cutting the carpet and stuffing from underneath the back seat. to give you more cu in. and instead of a box get a carboard cutout of the surronding edge trace it on 3/4 mdf. cut it out then just bolt that to the edge around the metal . so its just the top and all of the bottom use dynamatt or something similar. Hes done it on a bunch of trucks and sounds way better i would go with tens. so if your going to do the underneath seat thing this is the simplest thing you could due and cheaper. than a prefab box and better. Steve from RD audio has some great deals on some subs this week . |

I will not do prefabs either waste of space. Id rather make one myself that can go under the seat ill start trying to figure it out might just put one 10 or 1 12 under the seat see how much space I have first. |
Silver Member Username: Texas_bassHouston, TX Post Number: 694 Registered: Nov-05 | im not to sure but i think on those u can fit a 12 but i know u can ger lots of nice sound with a 10 and told ya no one likes the prefabed boxes |

Gold Member Username: RedlinerWilmington, Ma Post Number: 5104 Registered: Jun-05 | thats pretty cool marc to bad mine doesnt have that lol ill take some pics in a min and get the dimensions for you guys |
Gold Member Username: RedlinerWilmington, Ma Post Number: 5105 Registered: Jun-05 | def a tight fit in that cab. the dimensions arent exactly straight forward either. It slopes up in the back and curves in on the sides. So from front to back its 6 inches on the sides and 7 inches in the middle. The width is roughly 12-13. the height is 8 3/4 in the back and 10 1/2 in the front I have 2 of these openings on each side and in the middle theres pretty much no space. So most likely this is not gonna be fun to build and try to come up with the right dimensions and cuft size lol. Im thinking of just sticking with sealed since I have pretty much no space. |
