Well, I do like my humble vintage system, Kef Q60 speakers and Rotel RA-311. Theres good power only I want a bit more because Im off back to Uni in a month and no doubt my system will be the one with the music blaring out to fill my flat.

My query is if I got another INTEGRATED amp (another ra-311), using one amp for the left speaker and one for the right would this double the power output?
Obviously, I'd purchase a pre-amp too.
I know strictly speaking this is bi-amping because of seperate bass and treble amplification but last time i tried that my amps blew up.

Many Thanks
JJ

If you need more volume, JJ, get a bigger amp or more efficient speakers.

I agree. Figured that my question was pretty daft, I'd just get a more powerful Rotel. Like an old(i.e. affordable) rotel power amp from ebay and some kind of pre-amp to control it with.
Come to think of it, I should be fine, I'm just a bit bored which got me browsing stuff again.
