hi guys . i want help about slinger. Here is c&p about it I would like to make this post as comprehensive as possible and answer the most frequently asked questions about the Slingers.
First the highlights.
- You can start watching TV without a subscription using the public IKS channel right now on real Nagra 3. No need for a card, programmer, nothing just a Slinger box with a constant (even dial up) Internet connection.
- Supports normal Dish and Bell receivers including the ViP series (622 and 722 support will be added in version 1.11 tonight) with the 211 already working.
- The freezing issues are finally resolved. If you still are experiencing freezing please put your Slinger's IP address ( you can configure it to be a static one) in your router's DMZ. If you are unsure about what I just said, I will start a thread in the new Slinger forum soon going up here explaining it all.
- The channel lineup for Dishnet includes the Americas Everything with Turbo HD pack, por*n channels 491, 492, 493, 495, 496, and 497, with DishLatinoMax, Hindi and Urdu foreign language max packs, LA and NY networks pack and all sports networks.
- The Bell channel lineup includes all BEV theme and sports packs, Chinese language pack, AOV and Playboy channels and all movie channels with American networks.
- The servers for the public IKS channels are in China and Malaysia.
- You can already share out a subscribed card to your friends and family if you don't want to rely on the public service which is free and will remain free.
- Once all server and client side software is perfected the Slinger group will release the server side software so that you will be able to set up your totally private card sharing networks in complete secrecy and serve up to 50 clients per card.
- No computer is sitting next to your receiver, once you initially programmed your Slinger you will not have to reprogram it. No updates are needed except if you want to take advantage of some new feature in the new software release. You can keep watching TV. No key changes no reconfiguration. Set and forget.
