New member Username: TvtroublesolutionSan Diego, California USA Post Number: 5 Registered: Jun-09 | Hi Alan, After doing some research here is what I got, A thunderstorm can damage a television specially if there's a lightning strike near your home. The storm can cause sudden spikes in voltage and overheating damaging the electrical components, the power supply (most likely) and the ballast (If power supply is ok) may turn out to be damaged.
