I guys up until this week I used my Dish 500 and Viewsat Ex to receive 119 & 110. If I purchased an Nfusion receiver would I still be able to get 119 & 110 again and if so how would I go about getting it up & running. Do I always have to keep it connected to my computer or just to program it?

Nfusion has only BEV channels. No Dish channels.
For dish channels try kbox (with internationals) or SV ihub (with DN and BEV, but no Internationals)

Thanks.

I didn't say I didn't enjoy this site but I don't enjoy is the extra baggage that goes on when one asks a simple question. All thats needed is a simple answer if one has it or just please ignore the thread nothing more nothing less!

leonard nfusion is fta rec like sonicview, viewsat,
except it has network port, u need to put network cable from ur router to ur rec, u don't need to leave computer on etc,
last bin was released in feb or some thing like that,
nfusion has bev channel up but no dn yet.
wait till next week , dn will be up soon,

as long as u have internet connection, ur nfusion will be up, but if ur internet is down, u won't be able to watch anything,
so its nothing to do with ur computer leaving on,....

Thanks Sada very well and professionnaly said.

One more question Sada, the computer in my bedroom where my tv is located is not the main internet connection as it gets its internet signal from the router that's hooked up to the main computer in the room across the hall. So I am assuming my TV won't work unless I have a cord long enough to reach the router that's across the hall?

there is always solution to everything,
one member today bought 2 routers today and got it working, although i never tried it this way,

but there is definately powerline adapter,
best "gadget" ever, no need for messy wires,
plug one end in ur router , 2nd one any where in bedroom etc and u have high speed internet,
u can definately use if for ur desktop, lets say it is in ur bedroom if u don't wanna see cable wiring etc,
also do look at thread k1plus vs nfusion,
read what channels, what are u looking for etc,
features, etc,
i use zyxel ethernet adapter 85 mbps is good speed,

also do read this,
nfusion is here for long time so yes coder's definately know ups and down for iks, making iks more stable, safer etc, no don't worry about iks being safe, it is safe,
tested both nfusion and k1plus this is unbiased information...

nalin u are welcome
and u are right, kbox got few bev channels but nfusion have about 80-90% bev channel if u ignore ppvs and venus..

for nike below is some good info about k1plus.. note this was posted way long ago.. but it gives u some basic idea about the reciever..
for comparison between k1plus and nfusion is that k1plus doesn't have slot for direct ethernet port, nfusion does, with k1plus connects to khub (small device) and then from there it goes to router..
so basically both are same..
k1plus has better pvr /built in usb
while nfusion don't ..
also pic quality is way awesome on k1plus..
and they also release standalone bins (although nagra 3 is not cracked so there are no stand alone bin in this case. u have to use iks)..

nope it doesn't work if u take off sat cable,
with nfusion iks is about 98-100% stable,
as long as your internet is up, u will be watching channels,
as u turno of modem/u loose internet connection, u won't be able to see any channels,
true fta channels works without iks,so its no difference than other fta rec other than using iks.
that was for nfusion
loading the files are simple
after f2atv was down, they are just putting the bin in the server, means when u turn off ur rec from back and turn it on, it will say new version is available so u can download it by press ok button,
some time when server is really busy u can just use ur laptop, type in ip adreess (that is on ur nf rec) , download the bin and hit the upload button and u will be downloading in secs.
3rd one is old method (note nf nova/sd/) are not built with usb,

on kbox its different story
k1plus have both option of standalone bin or iks
standalone like other fta rec
the reason why i don't use iks with k1plus is its not stable , u will see blackscreen/channel freeze, etc with iks
so when other rec's are down atleast u can use iks with freezing/etc
with dongle i don't have to download any files if i want to , i will still see channels working (if u take out freezing/squeezing) issues]
d#n do u mean dn, if u do yes i get both dn and bev channels with nfusion

so basically this
nfusion has stable iks/ no standalone
k1plus has standalone/ freezing problem with iks

nfusion is built in ethernet port
i think that can be the main reason they have less problem then compare to k1plus

this would be cool device ,
i am moving to u.s so thinking about something like this,

"How often do yo have to load dongle files?
- Do yo need dish for yor dongle or does it work like IPTV? "

i download file after ecm when new file is around via usb for my k1 plus and use it as standalone (option avialalbe on my k1plus at configration),
when there is ecm i simply switch to iks,
no need to download file.
but b.c of freezing issues with k1 plus i use standalone, when there is no ecm and iks when there is ecm

yes same thing with dongle, i need dish in order to make it work

both k1plus and nfusion rec needs dish to make them work.
no iptv option available on both rec

with nfusion its like once a month
i barely remember when dish was down and i had to download a new file,
most of their files are improvement
for example last bin was added b.c it had more bev channels.
downloading bin's on nfusion is really low compare to other brand,
think like this way bin's are created when ur rec is down,
if ur rec is already up, no needs for new bin,
https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-video/535576.html

here are some stuff about k1plus that i posted way while , for those of you who don't know about k1plus,
rocky i don't have 61.5 but i will try to find out which channels are up on 61.5

now with k1plus its way more stable than it used to be, + u don't need to use iks all the time (in this case for new channels they added u must),..
but they still issue standalone fixes.. too..

some more info about the reciever..
reciever was released last year...
it was looked similar to koolsat so there was lots of bashing etc with old nfusion home site... it was known as k1hero, at that time, because box was similar to koolsat some koolsat owner bought khub and someone created a file to convert their koolsat6100 to kbox.. so k1plus did what other companies never did before,
they ask for to return the box to do the upgrade so that no koolsatowner can switch their box.. they had an excellent customer support, had to pay only oneway shipping, box was upgraded to k1plus (software changed)..
now its just k1plus ..
now with k1plus what is different than nfusion, it has option of standalone and iks mode, so they release bin after ecm, so after ecm u can swith to standalone if u want to .. or u can stay with iks.. (but with these nagra 3 channels u have to use iks)
box had lots of problems at begenning with iks , it wasn't stable, but lots few months things changed they have stabled iks now.
now other thing is pvr ,so its built in usb u can record and play to usb/external hard drive..
and pic quality is awesome...}

Thanks Sada your 1 of a very few good men on this board. Just to fill you in my main computer is old and has to be the main router link to the internet and the computer in my room is the secondary computer. So can I still hook up the kbox to my computer with it being the secondary 1 or do I have to have the D-link hooked up directly to the receiver?

Once again thanks for your patience as I know others on this site are reall bad people and need to be spanked with a whip really hard!
