ok so my 2 15s are 4ohm subs but im trying to run them in a 2 ohm load so the amp is bridged so more power lol...butt everytime i turn it up the amp kicks into protect mode...its an American Bass 1080w amp....i wonder if it jus because it cant run in a 2ohm load but idkk

if im correct a bridge is a 4 ohm mono load and if you try to bridge it to 2 ohms you can fry your amp.

If your amp is 1 ohm stable try wiring them down to 1 ohm and keeping it unbridged and see how that works.

540x2 Max @ 2 Ohms

I found this about the amp. This would mean it pushes out 540 watts max to each channel (each set of positive and negatives on the speaker outputs).
That would equal 270rms to each channel. That may be all you can get out of the amp, I dont think the amp can be bridged at any load, DK. And IM guessing these are single voice coil subs??

first off, what kind of subs r they? because you might not even need to bridge ur amp
