New Membe - Bose system problem....

Hello everyone. I am new to the boards and had a question about my Bose 321 subwoofer. My system is 6 years old and has a problem with the internal piece of the subwoofer that connects the power cable to the circuit board. My cat chewed through the power cable and shorted it out (sparks/smoke and all!). I bought
a new power cable from Bose, but when I plug it in, there are still sparks occurring at the adapter point still. The adapter(located on the circuit board)has a black mark (power spike) on it. How can I get this replaced? I only need the little
adapter piece (I hope:-)) I attached some pictures of the piece I need to replace. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Time to hit Rat Shack and do a little DIY, ks.
Remote solder the plug to the board and mount the plug in a sturdy location.

Or skip the plug and just cut the power wire and solder direct.

I know my choice.

Depending on the vet bill, I know my choice.

Hope all are well.

Thanks Nuck! The piece actually popped right off the board, so I think it will go back. My problem - is what is this burned up piece called and where do I order it? Of course, BOSE wants like $200 just to look at it and I don't want to pay that for this little piece.

thanks!

I would call it a power cord connector, I suppose.
I have no idea in the world where to order it. Sorry.
Just solder the sucker on there.

Oh yeah, I've heard that you can buy spray at Petsmart that cats hate... you could spray that (carefully) on your cables. Tabasco sauce works too ;-)

Nuck, don't have solder experience, but it wouldnt' matter - the piece that needs to be soldered is burnt and not working. I need to get it replaced first.

I appreciate your help though. If anyone knows how to get this piece replaced, please let me know.
