I am looking for suggestions for a new system. I only have like a $400-500 limit right now for everything, for subs w/box and amp. I already have a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X790 head unit as well as all the wires already ran throughout the car (I used to have a system but had to sell since I didn't have a job and needed money at the time). I have 4 gauge power and ground wires. If I could get for less than $400 that would be even better.

I am interested in both RE Audio and FI Audio.

Any suggestions for subs and amp?

Thanks for the help.

You can find a quality 1000rms amp for around 200 shipped now over at caraudio.com used. With 4 gauge wiring and assuming that you have a stock electrical system I would stick to 1000rms or below. Get either 2 12" re se's for around $300 new shipped. Or get a fi Q or fi bl 15". Theres other subwoofer companies out there, so do a little research and don't constrain yourself to only two companies. Build your own box and you should be within your price range.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am simply interested in RE and FI car audio, but am not constrained to only those 2 companies. I used to run a JL12W7 off a MA Audio SY 7011DX. I have other friends that run various things from Kicker 18" Solo-X w/ 3 Memphis Amps to 15" old school Lanzar Cadmium's powered by Volfenhag.

Any other suggestions? Anyone?
