What box style/specs would give me the most output for an alpine type r 12 the box would be going in a extended cab ford ranger

Go with a ported 1.7 cubic foot box tuned to 41 htz. That thing would be wanging =]. I had two in a sealed box wayyy to big for them and i for sure destroyed anybody at my highschool in sub comps. Though the only competition that came close was my buddies 2 12" L5's.. Only Loudness though mine destroyedd in SQ. and remember the box was waayyy too big. Im sure one in the right box would be just as loud and probably sound better =]

41 hz is too high for daily if you want some solid lows. 33-34 hz 2-2.25^3ft. Rovin gave you the port Area. Good Luck

would just a slot ported box be the loudest or would a 8th order bandpass or some other style of box be better

I would keep it simple with the slotted.


And I'd trust Rovin's judgment on type Rs. Don't know anyone with more experience with them.
