It should tell you the cubic feet per sub for ported box and it will also give u a recommended tuning frequency. I would use 3/4 MDF and build a box with two chambers...one for each sub...and either have two slot ports on either side of the box...one for each sub...or one port in the middle that goes into two ports. Depending on what ur sub can handle...32 hz would be good! Remember, lower the tuning frequency longer the port...and I have used 14-16 square inches of port surface area per cubic foot of box space...Example: if one chamber is 2 cubic feet....and your port it 12 in tall then the port will be 2.5 in wide...which is like 15 sq. inches of port per cubic foot of box volume make sense? Seems to work for me...to eliminate port noise! But if it is in a trunk then the port doesn't need to be that large. |

New member Username: Themelvster6Las Vegas, NV USA Post Number: 5 Registered: Jun-09 | Sorry bro, well, what is the recommended box size given from the manufacture? Cuz you don't wanna go too big cuz it will make ur sub sound crappy (distortion etc.)...then again you dont wanna go too small and not get the sound you could! |
