hello people,i am new to all this but i bought a viewsat ultra lite a week ago. and installed it, had it up and running but when the file went down . i downloaded the new file today and i updated my box. well now i cant get any channels at all. can some one pleas point me in the right direction.. thanks
yeah thats the file i had. the one with the ul at the end.should i be doing any thing before i load a new file or just update the box..i put the file on that u gave me the link to but still no luck. is it possable that my dish needs to be reaimed thanks

UPDATE i got some channels back, but i dont have PPV and probably alot more. not sure how many channels i should have, also i am trying to point at ecostar 119 w but my box keeps telling me im looking at ecostar 10,11, 110w how do i fix this thanks
no luck! i changed the lnb type and the port. is it my lnb is wrong maybe i need to buy a new one. my buddy told me that not all dishes can get ppv and other channels is this true thanks
ok thanks for the help plymouth i got the ppv channels now. like i said i am new to this. about how many channels should i be getting. as of right now im getting like 316 plus 2 music again thinks for all the help from every one great site

Charles If you have a DP Lnb Try putting Diseq to "none" and change Legacy switch setting leave it for a few seconds and note which setting gives you 110 first and then 119. These are the settings you will need to receive these birds.
This is the point Chumley was trying to make. It would be too hard for her to explain herself because she is a little bit shy.
Charles: Do you have Dish 500 or Dish 500+? These are two different dishes. The Dish 500+ setup usually has separate LNB next to the main LNB for 118 and 119 The original settings you described are those for getting ANIK F3 (as well as ECHO 7) on a Dish 500+. The Plus Dish is about 30" wide.
You might want to look for a separate LNB next to it which is meant for picking up 110W
