Please help. I have a 15 inch AW1500X sub which has dual 2 ohm voice coils. My amp is a Planet Audio 4002. This is a 2 channel amp that produces 400 watts RMS in 4 ohms amd 800 watts RMS in 2 ohm. If i wire each channel to each voice coil will my amp produce a 2 ohm load hence giving the sub 800 watts rms
you are correct the purpose of a DVC sub is so you have more wireing options you can hook up each 2 ohm voice coil to its own channel on the amp or you could bridge the amp into 4 ohms and wire the sub in series to give you the 800w total to the sub
