Anti_Dave_Tv_2004 Unregistered guest | Hey guys ...i have posted 3 times in 2 days the day is set .June 15th ..i have confirmation from 4 reliable sources , 3 sites that are very reputable and 1 programmer personaly ..Also i noted that it could be a little sooner or a bit later , we know this game by now lol ...Its money motivated , but also support and reputation are on the line and at risk .Anyone reputable ( this site is one i beleive ) and several others want to be sure that a full package is available with support as well as bins ,fixes,unloopers,programmers etc ,etc 15 short day's we should know for sure .Expect to pay around 3 bill's for a program that will be up for 6 months i recon before serious ecm strikes take place , no word is official and this is speculation ..of course if a flash is made redy we will all post it im sure for those currently in the loop and or trustworthy ..i am over stepping my bounds here with opinion and verified fact as well maybe , so i wil leave it at that ..i so much enjoy reading posts here from guys like dssdork,simple minded and willy brown for past month or so i felt compelled to air what news i was privy to ..as always work hard , test hard , wank hard with DTV !! We will have to drag our butts down to the local industrail unit and get our cards programmed every time they go down and pay a monthly fee (in canada anyway}. They have not released the fix because they want to make the fix harder to crack than dave could with the p4 cards. |

I had my receiver modified for the hu stream and had a really great run with no down time. This doesnt not make very good business sense. Dtv is receiving more and more competition from other sat services like dishnet and especially from digital cable (which doesnt go out when it rains). In such a competetive market,its doubtfull dtv would put itself ion a corner and raise prices well above its competetitors.. | |

But if he is talking about the new stream you will probably need to give him your reciever and card. windup Unregistered guest | James:I have 2 p4 cards l bought last year for 100 each and they look used too. if you want to check them you can put them in your reciever and on channel 100 the previews will show up. when you channel up you will get a call ext ? this means your cards are not looped but they may now be married to the reciever you tried them in. If the guy in the buy and sell sounds legit to your friend and he trys them let me know. thanks Bunny ears, come on james it's 2004 i know Rogers sucks but get with it man. I use bell expressvu I signed up a long time ago I have two recievers and it only costs $27.30 a month for canadian channels and the kids network programming including tax. check the sun or future shop they have great deals on bell systems. |

Not the main stream so the channels are scattered/missing. You need a bigger dish to get the missing channels.. no menus, pause between changing channels (varies between receiver and signal strengh) as much as 20 seconds.. I saw one and its truely disappointing.. Get a real receiver from dish or bev and learn it.. free info is everywhere. | |

I just picked up a new P5 from Ebay and would like to offer the folowing advice: get your cards as soon as possible, when the hu stream ended there were over 800 P4/P5 cards on ebay selling for about 120 each, there is still no 'fix' and cards are a lot more reasonable (I paid $50 us) but there are only 200 cards now on ebay with a fix due out less than 2 weeks, prices are going to go balistic! BUT make sure you get a sealed card, if the ebay-er says "I tried the card and it gets the preview channels" then he/she has put the card into the ird they are married!and the first hack will likley not be able to 'divorce' them! and you will once again be TV- less. get your NEW cards and hang on to them till the fix is out (no I am not selling anything) good luck to all...12 days and counting! |

Their will be a flash but as of now it will be for the Mikobu III M6.2. It has been mentioned that the detonator II and XP will be able to program the cards but they are not sure if they can handle the flash without damaging the loader. But the Mikobu was said to work flawlessly. I am not sure when the flash will be available though. Said that the new/programmer unlooper would be out first then the flash but with my confirmed email possible for the flash to be out when the progam comes out. The progam is wide open and works great. And if you also have a ISO progammer with a 357 mhz crystal or 368 you can progam the card to but won't be able to unloop the card. But do that at your own risk. I do not recommend that. Because the new flash and progammer buffs the chip so that security lock doesn't activate so programming can be repeated again. With out the buffer the lock will activate and when the card goes out that's it. But if the program last 6 months like expected might be worth a try. If you have ample cards. Soon as the fix comes out mine is paid in full from the support I had from hu my time froze and will pick right up when available. I also have a mikobu III so I will let you know if it works for me. Will come in Winexplorer format with program encrypted. | |

Activation fix users are getting a "This card has expired message" while 3M users are seeing a black screen but getting sound. The most reliable information that we have received indicates that barring any unforeseen events, DTV expects to have the HU card datastream turned off completely by April 27. Users should consider getting a basic subscription from DTV in case a fix is not available by that time or making other arrangements for TV viewing in case a fix is not ready by that time. In order of likelihood, the following solutions are likely to become available. 1. Within a few weeks, pre-programmed P4 cards will become available. Users will be able to buy a programmed P4 card (or exchange their own P4 card for a fee) that will open all channels. 2. A few months following that, DTV will start looping (disabling) some of those cards by sending Electronic Counter Measures (ECMs). When this occurs, users will have to send their cards back for re-programming. There may be a fee for this service. 3. Fairly soon following that, a dedicated programmer will probably become available which will allow users to program and/or unloop their own cards. 4. Eventually, a flash* may become available to allow users to upgrade their existing programmers to work with P4 and/or P5 cards.Some older programmers such as T6 Typhoon, Red Dragon and Kick A-- may not be able to take the new flash. The programmers most likely to be easily upgraded are: Mikobu III, A--Kicker, Aftershok Plus+, Aftershok, Xtreme Sureshot, T911, Detonator XP and Detonator II. * A flash is a small program that will update the Atmel (the 'brain') inside your programmer. Before this flash becomes available there will probably be a new version of programmer available designed exclusively for writing and/or unlooping P4 and/or P5 cards. The availability of such a new programmer will not change the eventual availability of a flash for existing programmer. Support subscribers: Unlike many of our competitors who sold support for the life of HU cards only (and will now ask customers for additional subscription fees to cover P4/P5 cards), our subscription was for a specific duration and are still completely valid.
