New member Username: Doug13031Post Number: 1 Registered: Mar-09 | a 3,500-4,000 dollar limit? I don't know much about complete setups. What I'm looking for is very low bass with better SQ then the L7's. With that said I have a few questions: 1: The most obvious, Which subs and amps? 2: Which power upgrades will I need to run the system properly? 3: Where is the best place to buy all of this? |

Silver Member Username: KingtutusLincoln, Nebraska U.s.a Post Number: 567 Registered: Dec-07 | i would look at running two RD AUDIO's alphas or alpha max on 3250.1. i know for expeance that it would sound good and be loud. if ur interested talk to Kevin Holden @ se_rdaudio@yahoo.com |
New member Username: Doug13031Post Number: 3 Registered: Mar-09 | Er, I havn't taken any measurments. There is no third row seat so I figured I would have enough room to work with. For low bass shouldn't the box be ported? Sorry, I'm still new to car audio. |

Can build them with a single spyder for SQ as well. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. Kevin se_rdaudio@yahoo.com |

Platinum Member Username: Nyyfan13Northern VA Post Number: 11217 Registered: Jul-06 | Doug, I'm bored as hell tonight so I'll throw some names at you. Let's start with the substage, you want strong low-end and SQ. http://www.soundsplinter.com/rls12_subwoofer_information.html Those fit the bill perfectly. Sub amp, we can wire those svc 3 ohm subs down to 1.5 ohms so give something like this a shot: http://www.woofersetc.com/p4432/D35001--Mmats-1-Ch-3500-Watt-Amplifier.htm So here we are with about $2000 left in the budget so lets set aside $1k for electrical upgrades (batts, wires, alt) Components, shitton of options here to be honest. Anywhere from Hybrid Audio Technology ![]() Component amp, again, shitton of options but some names you could look into of course are Mmats, DLS, Audison, JBL Crown series, Zapco, McIntosh, Sundown, list goes on and on. Headunit, assume you have one cause you had a system before this one. You'd be hovering right around the $4000 mark with this. Give or take a couple hundred dollars lol. And yes, I just did build my dream system lol. |

Post Number: 6638 Registered: Feb-06 | you can get 3 15" idqs' and comps and coaxs all for around $1300 shipped. sundown saz1500d for the subs, 125.2 for the comps. $825 shipped for the pair. alpine 9887. $350 shipped. 160sq. ft. of second skin damplifier pro sound deadening, $550 shipped. that puts you around $3000. leaves you enough for some wiring, batts., and custom box. |

Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana Team Audible... Post Number: 7356 Registered: Mar-04 | You want low bass? 3-15's Cone area ftmfw IIRC, you can easily fit 12cuft net back there and have room for amps/batts. You can fit a 49" wide box back there, so the build would be VERY easy. Tune to ~34hz (on paper) subs up, port back. W/ that much cone, you can get away w/ less power. 3 nice 15's 2000-3000wrms can be sick in that vehicle. |

These baby's sound great at all freq's. I will be staying with RD's. Most likely 3 18" HW's (possibally quad v.c.) So you know that I am happy with the RD Audio Products... Feel free to give me a call if you want to know more. I have plenty of references and I don't d1ck around. Good luck with whatever you choose. 337-438-2957 hittin1@hotmail.com |
